Concert Band (Robert Parker) brought its Summer season to a close on Bank
Holiday Monday when the 60-strong band made its debut appearance at Newark Town
Council’s 2009 ‘Brass Explosion’.
The battlements of Newark Castle provided an atmospheric backdrop to the event, which saw three bands – Nottingham Concert Band, Newark Town Band and Kibworth Band – entertain an audience of over 1,000 for nearly four hours, with the evening concluded by a firework finale. |
